Semester I
The first level includes basic skills in knitting, fabric development, yarns & fiber, textile science, fashion illustration, elements of design, basic pattern making, garment construction and different types of knit structures. Industry visits and professional interaction.

Semester II
The second level provides training in knitting using flat bed and circular knitting machines, Structures-cables,  jacquards, intarsia, pattern making, garment construction of knitted garments-T-shirts. Advance level fashion illustration, sketching of knitted garments. Merchandising, Textile science, CAD designing and graphing techniques, production methods in knitting. Industry oriented projects.

Semester III
The third level in the second year is introduced with advance level knitting, Costing & pricing strategy, sizing charts & grading, quality control and assurance. Screen printing & its different types on knitted fabrics, term end garment presentation.

Semester IV
The fourth and the most advance level of training in KDT programme would follow with the development of an essential portfolio of knitted swatches and design collection. Industry internship of 6-8 weeks with industry based projects.
